Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are actually open and will close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home that has a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family earnings does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each read more annum.
